Each week, we’ll ask Beta participants to submit their personal “Beta Journal” on a given topic. We’ll then take a sampling of those responses and post them for the entire LOTRO Community to read.

„Frage“: Wow, diese Beta-Berichte waren auf jeden Fall handverlesen. Vielleicht sind sie sogar selbst geschrieben (habt Ihr mitbekommen, dass es keine Spielernamen zu den Berichten gibt?),
Antwort: Ja, sie sind handverlesen, wir werden nichts zufällig veröffentlichen, was wir vorher nicht gelesen haben. Die Namen wurden gestrichen, da wir sonst gegen unsere eigene NDA verstoßen würden.
„Frage“: Ich glaube nicht, dass Turbine das durchdacht hat. Mit dem Versuch, unglaublich offen mit uns zu sein, wirken sie mehr wie die Propagandaabteilung eines kommunistischen Landes.
Antwort: Wir haben diese Beta-Berichte schon immer während der Betas gemacht. Das ist also keine neue Idee. Die Berichte geben Spielern die Chance, Eindrücke und Sichtweisen anderer Spieler zu lesen.
„Frage“: Turbine, hier ist ein Ratschlag: Wir wissen, dass alles was Ihr offiziell veröffentlicht (auch wenn es von Spielern kommen soll), Euch in einem guten Licht darstellen soll. Bitte beleidigt unsere Intelligenz nicht, indem Ihr uns solche Berichte als nicht handverlesene und völlig zufällige Berichte von Spielern und deren Reaktionen auf den HdRO-Itemshop verkauft.
Antwort: Was auch immer du glauben willst oder nicht, die Mehrheit der eingesendeten Berichte war positiv. Du kannst dich jederzeit für die Beta registrieren. Ohne Hintergrundwissen ist solch harsche Kritik allerdings unangebracht. Solltest du nicht an der Beta teilnehmen, kann ich dir mitteilen, dass die NDA bald aufgehoben wird und mehr Berichte veröffentlicht werden.

Wow, those journals were so obviously handpicked. That is, asuming they weren’t just completely made up (you’ll notice there’s no player name attributed to each journal).
Yes they are handpicked, we are not going to just not look at something and randomly post it. And the names were omitted because we would violate our own NDA by posting player names along with the journals.
I don’t think Turbine thought this through very well. In an attempt to appear as embracing openness, they’ve come out looking like the propaganda arm of a communist country.
We have done these journals for the last few betas that we have had. This is by no means a new idea. They give players a chance to hear about things from another players perspective.
Turbine, here’s some advise. We know that anything you publish as afficial news (even if it supposedly comes from players) is going to paint Turbine in a positive light. Please don’t insult our intelligence by suggesting these journals are just a random, not-at-all-handpicked sample of beta-players reactions to the store.
Whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you, but the overwhelming number of these that came in have been positive. Please feel free to sign up for the beta and decide for yourself. Judging something this harshly with no basis other than a jaded outlook, hardly seems fair. If you choose not to apply for the beta or do not get in, the NDA will be lifted sometime soon and more opinions will come out then.
