Tasks – Neuer Aufgabentyp
“Was kommt als Nächstes?”, werdet Ihr vielleicht fragen. Unser nächstes Update ist nicht mehr weit entfernt, und – auch wenn ich nicht alles verraten möchte – ist hier ein kurzer Blick auf die Dinge, die Euch im November-Update erwarten werden:
- Tasks – ein neuer Aufgabentyp für alle Spieler des Spielbeginns
- eine Generalüberholung des Bankfachs
- neue Fähigkeiten und Updates für die Kundigen und Runenbewahrer
- Eine Änderung, wie wir mit den Erweiterungen Die Minen von Moria und Die Belagerung des Düsterwalds umgehen werden.

Ein Entwicklertagebuch zu den Bankfach-UI-Änderungen kommt in der nächsten Woche und weitere Entwicklertagebücher zum neuen Tasks-System und anderen Änderungen sind für die nächsten Wochen geplant.

“So what’s next?”, you may ask. Our next update is right around the corner and while I don’t want to spill it all, here’s a quick look at some of what you can expect in the November Update:
- Tasks – a new content type for all players to enjoy in the early game
- A major revision to the Vault
- New skills and updates for the Lore-master and Rune-keeper classes.
- A change to the way we handle the Mines of Moria and Siege of Mirkwood expansion packs.

Updates werden von Büchern entkoppelt
Zum Thema Update möchte ich Euch wissen lassen, dass wir unsere Meinung bezüglich unserer Release-Anforderungen geändert haben. In der Vergangenheit waren unsere Updates von einem neuen Buch abhängig, das die epische Quest-Reihe fortgeführt hat. In Zukunft werden Updates nicht immer immer weitere Pfade der epischen Quest-Reihe beinhalten. Indem wir die Bücher von den Updates entkoppeln, haben wir die Flexibilität, unterschiedliche Spielinhalte und andere Features anzubieten. Das erlaubt uns, mehr Updates pro Jahr herauszubringen.
Keine Sorge, die epische Quest-Reihe weiterzuverfolgen und auf dem Pfad des Ringes zu wandeln, liegt uns sehr am Herzen. Wir werden mehr Informationen und unsere Pläne für 2011 in den kommenden Monaten mit Euch teilen.

On the topic of updates, I wanted to let you know that we have shifted the way we think about our releases. In the past our updates depended on new Books being added to the Epic story. Going forward, updates will not always feature a new installment in the epic story line. By decoupling the Books from Updates we’ll have the flexibility to offer different types of new content and new features in each release. This will also allow us to do more releases each year. Don’t worry, continuing the Epic Story and continuing along the path of the Ring is very important to us! We’ll have more information to share about that and our plans for 2011 in the coming months.
